Kids love playing in team sports. The sense of camaraderie, getting out in the fresh air, doing some exercise. It’s all good stuff for children and can be a nice way to spend the day as a family.
With 70% of children leaving organised sports by the age 13, it is very important to encourage children to continue in sports, be it just for fun or to pursue professionally.
Alongside the dedication of parents and coaches in supporting the children to take part in sport and physical activity, team sponsors also play an instrumental role in supporting the club.
Medigold Health are now proud sponsors of Reeds Weybridge RFC under 12’s who are based in Surrey.
This Sunday the Under 12’s embarked on their first tournament since being sponsored by Medigold Health as they took on Effingham RFC.
The Reeds Weybridge boys played some wonderful rugby on Sunday. They were superb in retaining the ball at the break-down and worked tirelessly as a team to consistently put Effingham under pressure. This constant pressure applied by Reeds resulted in turnover ball being converted into numerous tries being scored. Reeds were strong in defense and displayed some quality text book tackling throughout the game.
A huge congratulations to Reeds Weybridge A-team who won their match 12 tries to 1 and the B-team who won 8 tries to 2.
